Background and Future
Maaike graduated in Dutch law. She has worked for a Dutch court, the court of appeal, as an international law teacher, the Dutch embassy in Jakarta and Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Maaike is currently living in Australia where she also is studying. Maaike is working part time for Habsburg Legal Services but is a valued member of the senior management team. Having the Ministry of Foreign Affairs experience our founder, Kris, considers Maaike a strong asset who often can guide clients through the process in first instance, and is also very experienced in objections and appeal procedures. Maaike has an open approach to the challenges and is analytical, thinking in opportunities and possibilities.
Maaike says “Nationality law is a complex subject. Dutch citizenship/nationality comes with many rights and obligations, and being Dutch brings many benefits. So it can be an exciting and important process to become Dutch. For my clients, much depends on the application process and evidencing. I can also assist clients with objections or appeals. I will get to the bottom of your case and gladly translate the results into understandable language. I am fond of having open conversations and communication, so we can properly identify your needs. Not sure of your (legal) position, your nationality status? With my advice and explanations I hope to guide you through the complex labyrinth.”
