How to contact Habsburg & Kuijk Legal Services ltd
The quickest way to reach us is the contact form below. You can also use the envelope symbol at the top right to write to us from your own device. Tell us where you were born, where you live now, and what you are trying to achieve — that is usually enough for us to say where you stand.
Genuine emails from us only come from @habsburg-legal-services.com and @habsburglegalservices.com.
Existing clients
We work for you Monday to Saturday, and on Sundays on request or where it is necessary. We prefer appointments, but you are welcome to get in touch at any hour. We cannot always answer at once and will come back to you as soon as we can. Existing clients have been given direct numbers; they are in our earlier emails to you.
Start with your situation
Open the line closest to where you are. It tells you what to send, so our first reply can be an answer rather than a list of questions.
I think I may still be Dutch, or I lost it without knowing
Send us, as far as you have them: your full name, date and place of birth; your parents’ names and dates and places of birth; any other nationality you hold and the date you acquired it; the countries you have lived in and roughly when; and photographs of any Dutch document in the family, however old and however poor the condition.
Worth reading first: the 5-, 10- and 13-year clocks, the proportionality test (Tjebbes) and Are you Dutch? Prove it!
I want to apply for Dutch nationality, or get it back
Send us: where you were born and where you live now, your current nationality or nationalities, how you are connected to the Netherlands (parent, grandparent, birth, marriage, residence), and whether you have ever held a Dutch passport or identity card.
Worth reading first: Dutch nationality and citizenship.
My application, passport or document request was refused
Send us the decision itself — every page, including the envelope or e-mail header if you still have it — and tell us the date you received it. Time limits for objecting run from the date on the decision and they are short, so send this before you do anything else.
Also useful: what you asked for, which authority or embassy decided, and any reference number on the letter.
I want to move to the Netherlands, or bring my partner or family
Send us: the nationality of each person involved, where you all live now, your relationship to each other and since when, whether anyone already has a residence permit anywhere in the EU, and what you want the situation to look like a year from now.
Worth reading first: Dutch immigration and residence.
I am American and want to live and work in the Netherlands
Send us: what you do, whether you would be self-employed or running a company, whether anyone is coming with you, and when you would like to move.
Worth reading first: DAFT, the Dutch-American Friendship Treaty.
I need a document, a check, or one piece of advice
Tell us in one or two lines what you need and by when. Small, defined pieces of work are often a fixed fee, and we will say so before we start.
Worth reading first: other services in the Netherlands and our fees.
Something else, or you are not sure
Then simply write where you were born, where you live now, and what you are trying to achieve. That is almost always enough for us to tell you where you stand, and what it would take to get where you want to be.
You may also find your question already answered in the frequently asked questions or among the free self-help resources.
