Dutch Nationality Jurist & Legal Research Specialist
Chloë likes to get to the bottom of things. With an M.A, B.Ed, and OCT she is still pursuing further knowledge and has been instrumental in a number of successful cases where her research of the law played an important role.
As a minor she unknowingly, and unwillingly, lost her Dutch nationality with her father and she empathises with anyone with a similar background. She is an advocate for an improved nationality law and has shown excellent research and legal reasoning skills. Through these we were able to assist our clients with their cases.
In her own words:
“As a globetrotter and aspiring polyglot, I’ve always had a keen interest in world cultures, languages, and political science. Growing-up in a Dutch family, and in an immigration-based country exposed me to members of various diasporas, as well as their perceptions of national identity. My birth-right Dutch nationality which I unwillingly lost led me on a research journey through the complicated field of nationality law, and it has allowed me to become well acquainted with the nationality laws of a number of countries, including the Netherlands, Ireland, Spain, and Italy.
The laws governing nationality/citizenship in many states are known to be complex, and in some cases, convoluted. As a former Dutch national who experienced the difficulties of navigating this field, my goal is to use my intimate knowledge and expertise to help clients resolve their nationality and immigration related challenges.”
